 On Ellenville's side,  Amelia Torres and  Lyla Denman did some serious damage despite the final result:  Torres  scored a  run while going 1-for-3, while  Denman  scored a  run while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was  Julieva Rodriguez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Ellenville  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spackenkill struck out five times.
 Spackenkill's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ellenville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Spackenkill will be playing at home against Highland at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Ellenville, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Webutuck at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
