Meanwhile, River Road waltzed into their matchup on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 14 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ava Sharp made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Carol Koval was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Isela Delgado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

River Road pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Canadian, their record is now 14-7.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canadian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .409. However, it's not like River Road struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canadian might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from River Road in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Canadian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
