A Season-Best Effort from Anthwone Jones Leads South over Mira Monte
On Friday, South got the W thanks in part to Anthwone Jones playing the best football he has all season. Jones picked up 125 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 87 yards.
The victory (which was South's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. It'll be Northside v. Southside when their and North meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
