After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Phoenix Christian, the Northland Prep Academy Spartans were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Mountainside with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. That's another feather in the cap for Northland Prep Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northland Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ian Karren, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Gordon, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Northland Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Mountainside, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northland Prep Academy will take on Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountainside, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Phoenix Christian at 5:30 p.m. Phoenix Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
