Bishop Diego (Santa Barbara, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, Calif.), 34-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Gabe Molina touchdown pass to
BJ Murillo in the first quarter, the Cardinals were up 28-0 at the half.
Bishop Diego grew its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. BD scored once in the quarter on a touchdown.
With the win the Santa Barbara school extended its winning streak to five games. Bishop Diego defeated Inglewood 45-0 last week.
A 13-8 Bishop Diego victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Santa Fe Christian, who notched a 31-2 victory over Central in its previous outing. The loss snapped Santa Fe Christian's two-game winning streak.
