The Adamson Leopards had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 69-57 win over Jefferson on Friday. The victory was just what Adamson needed coming off of a 64-15 loss in their prior contest.
Adamson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Menjivar, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Menjivar also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Edwards, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Adamson's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Jefferson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Adamson will head out on the road to face off against South Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Oak Cliff presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Adamson in Texas (South Oak Cliff is ranked 584th, while Adamson is ranked 1363rd). As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
