After a string of four wins, Auburn's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of the Doherty Memorial Highlanders. The Rockets lost against the Highlanders in their previous head to head back in September of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-14 score last time.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Doherty Memorial, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.

Looking ahead, Auburn will challenge Tantasqua Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Rockets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Doherty Memorial, they will square off against South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
