The Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 66-16 loss at the hands of St. Mary's-Colgan. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jefferson Independent Day has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Yousuf Mokhtar and
Kohl Thurman, who each put up four points.
Jefferson Independent Day has fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 2-12. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.
Jefferson Independent Day will square off against Sheldon at 5:14 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's-Colgan on the road again on Tuesday and play against Frontenac on January 23rd.
