Basketball Recap: Conroe Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cleveland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conroe). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 78-23 victory over the Cleveland Indians. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-15.

Alisa Sneed had a dynamite game for Conroe, going 6 for 8 on her way to 12 points in addition to six assists and six steals. That's the most assists Sneed has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Christy Rogers, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Conroe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.

Conroe is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Cleveland, they are on a 51-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

Conroe will host College Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. College Park will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Conroe surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cleveland, they will venture away from home to challenge Oak Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
