Baseball Recap: Enterprise Wins Going Away Against Opp

Enterprise won the last time they faced Opp and things went their way on Saturday too. The Enterprise Wildcats blew past the Opp Bobcats 7-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Lint Sawyer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Enterprise's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Hirsch, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Cayden Boutwell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Enterprise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Enterprise's record is now 6-0. As for Opp, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Opp, they will square off against Liberty County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Opp is facing Liberty County at the right time seeing as Liberty County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
