Pusch Ridge Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 37-33 victory over the Rincon/University Rangers. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Rangers are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tabitha Orr, who posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and three steals. Those 13 boards gave Orr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooke Sanburn, who put up eight points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leila O'Dowd, who had 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Wexler, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's record now sits at 10-0. As for Rincon/University, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-48 defeat against Douglas on the 27th. As for Rincon/University, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-28 win against Mountain View on the 27th.
