Syracuse had a senior duo take command as Avery Sanders scored 17 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals and Cortnie Barker scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The contest was Sanders' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Grace Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mountain Crest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Box Elder the next time they take the court. Syracuse will host Box Elder at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mountain Crest will head out to face them at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
