Volleyball Recap: Monache's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Monache unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redwood Rangers. If the Marauders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Rangers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monache's offense was headlined by Melissa Rodriguez and London Haynes, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Jaylee Alvarico and her eight assists.

Monache's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Redwood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

Monache didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lemoore on the 13th. As for Redwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Central Valley Christian on the 13th.
