It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lincoln County Lynx can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 20-6 to Pershing County. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, Lincoln County couldn't push the score so high this time.
Lincoln County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Kristian Johnson, who picked up 104 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kalen Bart also helped out as he racked up 110 receiving yards.
Lincoln County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Pershing County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Lincoln County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pershing County will head out on the road to face off against Lake Mead Academy at 9:00 a.m. on November 21st. Lake Mead Academy is on a four-game streak of home wins, Pershing County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
