Volleyball Recap: Viewmont Starts Season with Win Against Kearns

Viewmont had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Kearns Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Vikings not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Viewmont was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-10, 25-19.

Klancee Larsen paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 12 kills. Larsen got some help from Miya Edgington and her 20 assists. Edgington was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Viewmont will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Layton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kearns, they will head out on the road to challenge Murray at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
