The Community Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Central Christian at home by a decisive 68-53 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Community Christian of the 44-42 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Central Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Clark, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Clark also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Bayleigh Seymour was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Central Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Christian will challenge Rock Springs Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Creekside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Creekside Christian Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
