Roseville and Del Campo are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roseville will be strutting in after a win while Del Campo will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, Roseville had just enough and edged out River Valley 4-2.
Alyssa MacFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Isabella Senini was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Angela Martinez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Roseville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Valley only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Del Campo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 13-10 to Nevada Union. Even if the Cougars couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Alisha Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Issabella Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Del Campo's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Roseville, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Roseville came out on top in a nail-biter against Del Campo when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
