Grafton/St. Thomas (Grafton, N.D.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 14-8 victory over
Valley City (N.D.) on Saturday. The Spoilers captured the lead for good when it ran for a touchdown.
The score was knotted at eight heading into the half. The Spoilers took the lead for good on a rushing touchdown with 8:00 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Brandon Breckheimer played well for the Hi-Liners. The senior ran for one touchdown.
Valley City's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Breckheimer in the second quarter.
Grafton/St. Thomas had given up an average of 13.1 points prior to the contest.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 44-6 win for GST.
The loss comes after Valley City defeated Bishop Ryan/Sawyer 24-14 last week.
