The Legacy Lightning scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Prairie View as Legacy made off with a 60-36 victory. That looming 60-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Legacy yet this season.
It was another big night for Olivia Mortensen, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Meghan Allshouse, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Prairie View still got an impressive performance from Paige Walker, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Walker continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Celicia Robles, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Prairie View struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Legacy and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Prairie View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Legacy will head out on the road to take on Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brighton is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Prairie View will take on Mountain Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Range is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
