San Jacinto Valley Academy has won four straight games at home, while Hamilton has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Wolves will host the Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Monday, San Jacinto Valley Academy got the win against Temecula Prep by a conclusive 20-3. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Avilika Arana made a big impact no matter where she played. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hamilton came out on top against Temecula Prep on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Bobcats blew past the Patriots 13-1.
Like San Jacinto Valley Academy, Hamilton also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaitlynn Barreto. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Barreto was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Brady Fink was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Genesis Andrade, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles.
Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. San Jacinto Valley Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
San Jacinto Valley Academy took their victory against Hamilton when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
