The Deshler Tigers and the Westminster Christian Acadmey Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Deshler Tigers had to settle for second. Deshler took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster Christian Acadmey. Deshler's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Brandon Musch, who rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
Deshler's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Westminster Christian Acadmey, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Deshler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westminster Christian Acadmey will square off against Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Brooks is ranked 135th, while Westminster Christian Acadmey is ranked 133rd).
