Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Holstein). They put the hurt on the Sheboygan Falls Falcons with a sharp 17-2 victory on Tuesday. Hayden Jurgensmier made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, New Holstein got a big performance out of Ethan Schmitz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave Schmitz a new career-high.
