It was another big night for Saniya Burks, who dropped a triple-double on 56 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 steals for Rice. That makes it 21 consecutive games in which Burks has scored at least a third of Rice's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liviyah Nezar, who scored ten points.
Eustace's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.6 points per game. As for Rice, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
Eustace will be playing at home against Malakoff at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Malakoff presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eustace in Texas (Malakoff is ranked 94th, while Eustace is ranked 1226th). As for Rice, they will head out on the road to challenge Palmer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
