This season hasn't been kind to the Williamsburg Academy Stallions, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Florence Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Williamsburg Academy in their matchups with Florence Christian: they've now lost nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florence Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Lambert, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Lambert continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emerson Poston, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Williamsburg Academy's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Florence Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Florence Christian will host Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Williamsburg Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
