Woods Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bhuvanesh Senthil, who posted 14 points and five boards. Alden Phelps also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Gabe McKoy was his usual excellent self, putting up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists for Chatham Charter. McKoy is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kolton Cain, who had ten points.
Woods Charter's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Chatham Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ascend Leadership the next time they take the court. Chatham Charter will host Ascend Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Woods Charter will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
