The Falcon Falcons will square off against the Pueblo County Hornets at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Falcon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Falcon took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Windsor 8-7.

Parker Cordova
Parker Cordova looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Falcon is 2-0-1 when Cordova allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Schleper, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Talon Chubb, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Pueblo County gave up the first runs last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Palmer Ridge 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Blake Swift spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Cohen Glenn was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Cole Barger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Pueblo County and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Falcon, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
Falcon couldn't quite finish off Pueblo County when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Will Falcon have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
