Massac County never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Century Centurions with a sharp 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in March.

Zack Krueger and Josh Gilbert were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Krueger pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Gilbert pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Krueger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Krueger went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Gilbert got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Musselman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Cozart, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Massac County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Century only posted an OBP of .211.

The win made it two in a row for Massac County and bumps their season record up to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Century, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

Massac County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Century, they will head out on the road to take on Pope County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Centurions are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
