Lebanon Trail and Independence are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. Lebanon Trail will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lebanon Trail has three straight victories, Independence has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lebanon Trail's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Heritage. Considering the Trail Blazers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kendall Dreary was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Ramon, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Dreary wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Lebanon Trail lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Independence came up short against Frisco on Monday and fell 9-6.
Avery Hillier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Stormy DANIEL made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Lebanon Trail's win bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Independence's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lebanon Trail hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Independence, though, as they've only averaged .204. Will they be able to contain Lebanon Trail's hitters?
Lebanon Trail came out on top in a nail-biter against Independence in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Does Lebanon Trail have another victory up their sleeve, or will Independence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
