The Beaver Beavers will take on the Northridge Knights in a tournament on Saturday. The timing is sure in Beaver's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Northridge has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Beaver is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: White Pine, who was ranked 16th in their home state at the time (Beaver was ranked 25th). Beaver blew past White Pine 15-4 on Friday. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Braylee Carter tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Danzee Bradshaw was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tylee Marshall, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Beaver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Northridge came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Altamont on Friday.
The team relied heavily on Madisyn Lecour, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makaybree Nay, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Beaver is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Northridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Beaver hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Northridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Beaver skirted past Northridge 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Beaver repeat their success, or does Northridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
