After having lost a blowout in their contest last week, Thomson were happy to find some success on Friday. They had enough points to win and then some against Cross Creek on Friday, taking their match 41-21. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Thomson's flat performance the contest before.
The win bumped Thomson's record up to 3-5. This is the second loss in a row for Cross Creek and nudges their record down to 3-5.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Thomson will take on Burke County at home at 7:30 PM next week. Thomson are catching Burke County at a good time: Burke County have scored fewer and fewer points over their past three games. Cross Creek will stay at home against Academy of Richmond County at 7:30 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
