Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Northview Chiefs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bucks. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Northview's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wyatt Scruggs, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Scruggs was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Joe Wright v, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bozeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Gay, who threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 96 yards on only 13 carries. John Hanson also helped out with an impressive 160 receiving yards.
Northview has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Bozeman, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bozeman will look to defend their home field on Friday against Holmes County at 7:30 p.m. Holmes County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
