One thing working in Veritas Collegiate Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.

Veritas Collegiate Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Veritas Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcqell Freeman led the charge by scoring 21 points. Freeman is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Majesty Dawson, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Cristo Rey posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They really took it to Summit Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-19 win on the road. Given Cristo Rey's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Veritas Collegiate Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Cristo Rey, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

The rematch might be a little tougher for Veritas Collegiate Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
