A Season-Best Effort from Parker Merriman Leads Deckerville over Capac
Parker Merriman produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Deckerville to the win on Friday. Merriman rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.5). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
The win for Deckerville keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Merriman and Deckerville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Alcona at 6:00 p.m.

James turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 27 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defending two passes.
This year, James has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 96.1 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had five rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 17.

Gavin Wager helped snap Mayville's five-game losing streak. Wager did his part (and then some), throwing for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 62 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
