Football Recap: Mullins Finds Home Field Redemption Against Green Sea Floyds

There's no place like home for Mullins, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 30-14 win over the Green Sea Floyds Trojans on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Auctioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kanazzion Bethea had a dynamite game, throwing for 246 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 80 yards and one score on only eight carries. Those 246 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Mullins' leading receiver Keith Bridgett was Bethea's top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory got Mullins back to even at 1-1. As for Green Sea Floyds, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Mullins will be playing at home against Latta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Auctioneers will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will head out to challenge Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
