Ovid-Elsie was the 9-6 winner over Fowler when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Marauders came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 22-5. The Marauders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ovid-Elsie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kathryn Thornton, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Ovid-Elsie's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17-1. As for Fowler, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Ovid-Elsie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fowler, they will square off against Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
