The Russellville Indians waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins but they left with six. They managed a 61-56 win over Linn. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Linn still got an impressive performance from Kiana Hostetler, who scored 17 points along with six assists and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Vivien Baker, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Russellville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Linn, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Russellville will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Linn, they will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
