Six Top 25 teams are featured in this week's slate.

and gets huge test this week against a 5-1 JSerra Catholic
(San Juan Capistrano) squad.
No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) hosts Servite at the Santa Ana Bowl in the other California game featured this week.
of the best rivalries in high school football is going down in the Lone
Star State between Lake Travis (Austin) and Westlake (Austin). This is the 15th meeting between the two since 2006. The Cavaliers
have won 10 of the previous 14 but the Chaps have won the last two.
undefeated teams in the Arizona 6A Premier league face off with first
place on the line. Brophy College Prep (Phoenix) hosts No. 21 Chandler
and this one features an explosive offense against a stingy defense. The
Wolves average 57 points per game while the Broncos allow
5.2 points per game.
The other states
featured this week include New Jersey, Maryland/Washington D.C.,
Washington, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio.

John Bosco has dominated the series against JSerra. The Braves are 13-0
against the Lions but last year's game came down to the wire as they pulled out a 35-28 win. Expect Bosco to come out hungry after a
one-point victory last week against Servite. JSerra Catholic has won
four straight since losing to No. 22 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale,

Both Texas powers have produced a bunch of big-time players led by Drew Brees, Baker Mayfield
, Garrett Wilson
and Sam Ehlinger
. Don't be shocked when some players on the field Friday night become marquee names down the road.
1 p.m. Saturday
This league was featured in our Top 10 toughest leagues in the country
and a main reason why is these two New Jersey
powers. They met in the Non-Public Group 4 championship last year with the Green Knights winning 13-0. This will be the 17th meeting since 2004
and the Crusaders have won nine of the previous 16.
7 p.m. Friday
6A Premier league made an appearance on the Top 10 toughest leagues too
and the top two teams face off Friday with first place for the winner.
The Wolves were the only new team to join the Top 25 this week after
putting up 84 points on Perry (Gilbert). The three-time defending
6A state champs have won 19 games in a row and have outscored the
opposition 342-87 in 2019.
7:30 p.m. Friday at Santa Ana Bowl (Santa Ana)
gets another crack at a Top 25 opponent and this time around it is the
No. 1 team in the country. The Friars are 0-2 against ranked teams but
almost pulled out a huge upset against St. John Bosco last week. The Monarchs have been the best team in high school football this
season and are winning by nearly 40 points per game.
7 p.m. Friday
League play begins this week for the
Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, which checked in as the second
toughest league in the country. No. 9
Gonzaga brings in an eight game winning streak and won its first WCAC
championship since 2002 last season. Williams has thrown his name in the
mix to win the Player of the Year award in 2019. The Zags face
its toughest test of the year on Friday as Good Counsel's lone loss came
on the road in Southern California against No. 2 St. John Bosco.
These two teams played in the 3A state championship game last season. The Crusaders won 31-13 to win their first state title since 2015. They check in as the No. 11 team in the country and have reeled off 18 consecutive wins. The Fighting Irish have won 29 of their last 32 games and all three losses have come against Eastside Catholic.
Florida-Georgia bragging rights are on the line. Trinity Christian Academy has had one of the toughest schedules in the nation and is battle tested. The Packers are one of the first five teams out of the Top 25 and a statement win on Friday would give them a chance to jump into the rankings next week.
7 p.m. Friday
The defending Ohio Division 1 state champs have won five straight since a season opening one point loss to No. 15 Mentor (Ohio). St. Ignatius enters 3-3 but two of those losses came against Top 25 opponents. This is the 20th meeting between the two Ohio powers since 2004 with the Wildcats winning 12 of the previous 19.

It is Kentucky vs. Ohio in a big out-of-state showdown. Both are undefeated and will be among the favorites to win a state title. Covington Catholic is 8-0 this season averaging 45 points per game and has the top rated player in the state in 2020 Notre Dame commit Mayer. La Salle is 6-0 this year and has won every game by double digits.
