Amari Thomas posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Brentwood back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Thomas also tossed no walks, which is notable because Jeannette is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

Coming up, Thomas and Jeannette will face off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in April 14-3. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
