The West Clermont Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Loveland Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loveland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Clermont, who comes in off a win.
West Clermont fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over Talawanda on Tuesday.
Rayshawn Hubbard was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of West Clermont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Madden, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Loveland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-40 to Kings. Loveland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Clermont's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Loveland, they dropped their record down to 11-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
