The Holy Redeemer Royals will head out to square off against the Wyoming Area Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Holy Redeemer took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against MMI Preparatory School as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Royals considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Nick Mazzarella made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Mazzarella was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Holy Redeemer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as MMI Preparatory School only posted a batting average of .208.
Meanwhile, Wyoming Area entered their tilt with Berwick on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-3 win.
Kristian Pugliese tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Vacula, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Chase Speicher, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Holy Redeemer pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Wyoming Area, their record now sits at 9-6.
Holy Redeemer couldn't quite finish off Wyoming Area in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
