The Bonsall Legionnaires will head out on the road to square off against the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Bonsall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-54 to Preuss UCSD. Bonsall has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 66-46 loss at the hands of California Lutheran. Cornerstone Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.
Bonsall has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Bonsall took their win against Cornerstone Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 76-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bonsall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
