This season hasn't been kind to Leupp Boarding, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against Verde Valley on Saturday, falling 59-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leupp Boarding has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Verde Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than CJ Wiehl, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Zee Dickey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Leupp Boarding bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Verde Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Leupp Boarding will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Orme at 6:30 p.m. As for Verde Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Sonoran Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
