The Marmaton Valley Wildcats lost against the Crest Lancers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Marmaton Valley fell 49-40 to Crest. Marmaton Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Ryan Golden, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds for Crest. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Golden has scored at least a third of Crest's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rogan Weir, who scored five points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Marmaton Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Crest, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Marmaton Valley and Pleasanton will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Pleasanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Crest, they will head out on the road to take on Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
