The Eminence Eels lost against the South Putnam Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Eminence was beaten by South Putnam 68-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eminence has scored all season.
Drew Hill was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with five steals for South Putnam. Another player making a difference was Isaac Garner, who scored 11 points.
Eminence bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Putnam, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eminence will challenge Christel House at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christel House is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for South Putnam, they will head out on the road to face off against Cloverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cloverdale is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
