Baseball Recap: Desert Hills Extends Winning Streak to Three

Desert Hills had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Stansbury Stallions with a sharp 10-0 win on Friday. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Jace Fillmore was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Harmon Skeen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Desert Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stansbury only posted an OBP of .222.

The victory (which was Desert Hills' third in a row) raised their record to 23-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Stansbury, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season.

Desert Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against Stansbury: the pair will be back at it again later today.
