Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Samuel, who went 9 for 22 on his way to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Samuel continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Kratzer, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.
Spring Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Community Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Baptist Academy will head out to square off against Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Community Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
