It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the West Point Warriors had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Patriots 73-43 at home. West Point has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 25 points or more this season.
Defeat or not, Brewer got some senior leadership from Bailey Hale and Chloe Romine. Hale scored eight points along with four steals, while Romine. scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. Hale continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lilly Grace Yancey was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
West Point is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Brewer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.
West Point will be playing in front of their home fans against Russellville on Tuesday. West Point has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Brewer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
