There's no place like home for Girard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Harding Raiders on Thursday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Indians have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brooklyn Broll made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Broll was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since April 1st.
In other batting news, Kyra Bell and Gianna Saxon did most of the damage at the plate: Bell went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Saxon went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
