Braiton Applegate Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Perkins-Tryon's Braiton Applegate, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Applegate rushed for 18 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
Applegate and Perkins-Tryon will take on Lone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Applegate took on the Longhorns, he rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Max Moore Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Thursday, Mannford had to settle for second even though Max Moore put up the best numbers he has all season. Moore rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 222 yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Mannford is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Moore and Mannford will head out on the road to square off against Victory Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cash Matlack Has Career Rushing Day
Sulphur was led to victory by Cash Matlack, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Matlack rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory (which was Sulphur's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Matlack and Sulphur are taking a road trip to challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Raiden Mclemore Dazzles in Perkins-Tryon Win
Another Perkins-Tryon player making an appearance on this list is Raiden Mclemore. He rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
For the year, Mclemore has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 84.8 rushing yards per game.

Shaun Hill Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Shaun Hill of McLoud. Hill picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 78 yards. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 63 yards.
McLoud dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hill and McLoud will square off against Bristow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
