The Taylor Yellowjackets pushed their score all the way to 63 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrison. Taylor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Harrison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harrison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alli Robertson, who scored 24 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Robertson has scored at least 25% of Harrison's points. Another player making a difference was Allie Kiefer, who scored 17 points.
Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will challenge Mercy McAuley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Harrison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Little Miami at 11:30 a.m. on December 29th. Little Miami will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Harrison is ranked 173rd).
